Compare Versions
When a new revision lands, the question is always the same: what changed? Compare Versions answers it, sheet by sheet, with no more squinting at two PDFs side by side.
Use case: see every change between rev 1 and rev 2 of the architectural set in one list.
Running a comparison
- Make sure both revisions are uploaded to the same project (see Projects & uploads).
- Open Compare Versions from the tools rail and pick the two versions.
- Start the comparison. The platform matches sheets between versions by drawing number, detects which pairs actually changed, and describes the changes on each modified sheet.
Reading the results
Results are a list of sheet pairs, ordered so the most-changed sheets surface first:
- Changed sheets come with a written summary of what changed (moved walls, revised schedules, new notes), not just a pixel diff.
- Unchanged sheets are confirmed unchanged, so you can skip them with confidence.
- Added and removed sheets are called out separately.
Open any pair to view the two revisions side by side and verify each change in place.
When to use which compare tool
- Compare Versions: two revisions of the same set: "what changed?"
- Overlay: two sheets stacked visually: "what moved, exactly, and by how much?"
- Compare Against Control: a set vs. a reference set: "is everything from the reference present and correct?"
