Drawing viewer & toolbar
The drawing viewer renders your sheets at full quality and gives you the tools you'd reach for on paper: measuring, comments, callouts, freehand markup, and layer control.
Use case: Get oriented on your first sheet without hunting for the measure or comment tools.
Measuring
Measure lengths and areas straight off the sheet at the drawing's real scale, no exporting to CAD.
- The scale is picked up from the drawing, so measurements are in real-world units.
- Use case: check a corridor width against the egress requirement right on the plan.
Comments & callouts
Mark up a sheet the way you already do on paper:
- Drop comments at a specific spot; the rest of the team sees them on the same sheet.
- Add callouts that point at a detail with a note attached.
- Type text directly on the drawing.
Comments made here flow into the Issues & Comments table, so manual markups and automated findings are triaged in one place. If you use Bluebeam Studio, comments can round-trip as native PDF markups; see Connect Bluebeam.
Drawing tools
Freehand and shape tools for sketching directly over a drawing. Circle a problem area, draw the fix, or sketch where a missing dimension should go.
Layers
The Layers button (top-right of the drawing view) toggles layers on and off to declutter a busy sheet, for example hiding the dimension layer so you can read a dense plan clearly.
Navigating
- Zoom and pan are instant even on large sheets.
- The sheet rail on the side moves you between drawings; search jumps you to a sheet by number or name.
- Citations from chat and check findings land you at the exact spot on the sheet, already zoomed.
