Notifications

The bell at the bottom of the sidebar, beside your profile picture, carries an unread count and everything that has happened to you across every project. (With the sidebar collapsed it sits just above your avatar.)

It isn't the tasks tray - that's in the top bar and shows work currently running.

What you get told about

NotificationWhen
You were mentionedSomeone @-mentioned you in an issue thread
New commentSomeone replied on an issue you're involved in
Issue assigned to youSomeone assigned you a finding
A run finishedA QA/QC run or code review you started completed
A share was requestedSomeone wants to share something with your team or the organization - see How access works
A page failed to processExtraction couldn't finish on a sheet - see Troubleshooting

A project was createdA new project was set up
Analytics readyA chart you asked for on the Dashboard is done
A task completedAn agent task you set running has finished

Assignments also go out by email, as a digest, so you don't have to be in the app to find out that work has landed on you. Everything else is in-app only - except your own runs, which you can have emailed on completion by turning that on in Settings → Preferences.

What you can do with it

Two things:

  • Open one. Clicking a notification marks it read and takes you to whatever it's about.
  • Mark all read. Clears the count in one go.

The unread count refreshes on its own while you work, so you don't need to reload to see something arrive.
