The project workspace

Everything in Structured AI happens inside a project. A project holds your drawing sets (including multiple revisions), the checks you've run, the issues you've flagged, your markups, and the outputs you've generated. This page walks through the workspace so you know where everything lives.

Use case: Open a job, switch from the floor plans to the schedules, and find last week's report in seconds.

The layout

Opening a project gives you a split view:

• The drawing viewer takes up most of the screen. It renders your sheets at full quality, with the toolbar for measuring, commenting, and marking up.
• The sheet rail lets you move between drawings and jump across documents in the project.
• The tools rail opens the review, compare, audit, and coordination tools (below). It also has a search box that finds tools, checks and connectors by name.
• The chat panel sits on the right. Ask anything about the set; the agent answers with citations that jump you to the sheet. Full-screen it when you need room.

The tools

Tools are grouped the way you work, in four sections.

Review

Tool	What it does
Project QAQC	Run automated consistency, completeness and coordination checks by discipline.
Issues	Every finding and manual markup in one triage table - QAQC, spec audit, code review and comments.

Compare

Tool	What it does
Compare Versions	Differences between revisions, sheet by sheet.
Overlay	Stack and align two sheets to see what moved.
Compare Against Control	Diff a set against a reference or template set.
Organize	Version chains, project stage, and per-sheet revision history.

Audit

Tool	What it does
Comment Closure	Track review comments and verify each against the latest drawings.
Shop Drawing Review	Check shop drawings against the issued design.
Spec Audit	Check the drawings against what the specifications require.

Coordination

Tool	What it does
Workflows	Saved multi-step reviews you can re-run, yours or shared with your team.
Board	A shared canvas for sketching and thinking out loud beside the drawings.

Not seeing a tool?

Some tools are enabled per organization, and some actions are granted per person. If a tool you need isn't in your workspace, check Why can't I see this?, or talk to us and we'll switch it on.

Things that aren't on the rail

Two review surfaces you reach a different way:

• Custom checks aren't a separate tool any more. A check you built or imported appears in the Project QAQC panel's checklist list, marked with a Custom or Shared pill. The library of saved checklists lives on your Checklists page.
• Building codes are browsed from the Building Codes entry in your account menu, not from inside a project. See Code Review.

Moving between documents

Upload a new document from anywhere in the project; it processes in the background while you keep working. Switch between the floor plans, schedules, and specs from the sheet rail, and jump to another project without losing your place.

Documents aren't only PDFs - spreadsheets, Word files, images and IFC models all live in a project and open in the viewer. See File types & editing.

Watching work in progress

Checks, comparisons, audits and uploads all run in the background. The tasks tray is where you watch them: what's running, how far along, and what finished while you were on another project. See Tasks & runs.

Where outputs land

Anything you generate (written reports, spreadsheets, annotated plan sets, plan-review letters, filled-in forms) is saved to the project, so last week's report is always a click away. See Generated outputs.

Project memory

The chat remembers how your team works: naming conventions, standards, corrections to the extraction, decisions you've made. Tell it once and it applies across the whole project - and across the checks you run, not just the conversation. See Project memory.
