The code library
Your organization's code library is shared: upload a code once and every project can use it. A built-in library of common codes (IBC, NFPA, and others) is available alongside your uploads.
To add a code, upload the PDF from your organization's building-codes page. The platform ingests it section by section, preserving:
- Tables: occupancy loads, fire-resistance ratings, fixture counts, kept as real tables, not mangled text.
- Figures: diagrams and illustrations, shown inline where the code references them.
- Structure: chapters, sections, and clause numbering, so citations resolve to the exact clause.
Browsing and searching
Open the Code Browser to navigate a code like a book or search it like a database. Jump to a clause by number, search by topic, and read tables in place.
Inside a project, Code Review on the tools rail shows the codes relevant to that project, so the right edition is a click away while you review.
Codes in chat and checks
The code library isn't just for reading:
- Ask the chat code questions in context: "what does the code require for corridor width at this occupancy?" It cites the clause.
- Checks that verify code compliance reference the ingested code directly, so findings point at both the drawing and the clause.
