Comment Closure
After a review round, someone has to confirm that all the comments were actually addressed. Comment Closure does that pass for you: give it the list of review comments, and it checks each one against the latest drawings, confirming what's resolved and what still isn't.
Use case: verify that all 40 reviewer comments from the last round were actually addressed.
How it works
- Open Comment Closure from the tools rail.
- Bring in the review comments: import them from a document or markup set, or add them by hand. If your reviewers work in Bluebeam, pull their markups in directly.
- Run the closure check. The platform reads each comment, finds the relevant location in the current drawings, and judges whether the requested change was made.
- Work through the results: each comment comes back as resolved, not resolved, or needs a human look, with evidence from the drawing so you can confirm the call in one click.
Triaging results
Treat the output as a pre-sorted worklist:
- Resolved items just need a quick confirm.
- Not resolved items are your real punch list; assign them as issues to whoever owns the fix.
- Uncertain items are flagged honestly rather than guessed, so the tool never quietly closes a comment that wasn't fixed.
Why it matters
Comment closure is where things slip: a comment acknowledged in the response letter but never picked up in the drawings. Checking each comment against the sheets, not against the response narrative, catches exactly that.
