How it works
- Open Takeoff from the tools rail on a project with electrical plans.
- The platform reads the legend first, so every count is grounded in this set's actual symbol definitions, not a generic library.
- It then detects and classifies symbols across the plan sheets, associating nearby text labels (circuit tags, fixture codes) with each symbol.
- Review the detections on the sheet: every count is a set of boxes you can see, verify, and correct. Your corrections update the totals.
- Export the counts to Excel for pricing or the field team.
Human-in-the-loop by design
Takeoff never asks you to trust a number you can't see. Every detection is drawn on the plan; you confirm or fix them like a reviewer, and the deliverable reflects your verified counts, not raw model output.
